My first try at a gift card holder... needs some tweaking, I think...

Ok, followed the instructions on Splendiferous Creations which is a cool website by Lisa Somerville. This was made according to the instructions on the blog. I actually have made a few more, because this one is kinda big. I need to get a gift card for a birthday party Erin is going to over the weekend and I think this will fit the gift card and envelope both inside of this holder. I will give you an update later.

This was fun, though, with the crimper at the bottom giving it a really finished look.

I can also use this for a swap I am doing with buttons!

Getting Punchy!

How awesome are these cards that we made today at Robin's house? The first one is made with circles and says "thanks a bunch", the bunny one says "Easter Blessings", the hyacinth is made with about 35 punched flowers and pins, the sunflower card says "celebrate - life has many gifts - take time to unwrap them all" and the card with the basket says "joy".

How cute are they?

Guess I have to buy more punches!

Enough with the Vintage Violet, already!

Ok, color challenge for SU Fans swap this week was Sahara Sand, Vintage Violet and Pixie Pink. I never would have made the card last night with the violet if I had remembered the combo for this week. Anyway, I had fun using my "think big" set, and was thrilled to see how well it worked with my new flower punch!

Anyway, I like the flowers, the brads, the colors (I think) and I hope the girls in my swap group will too.

Thanks for looking!

Card to send to a girlfriend

This was really a challenge for me. Almost all the cards I make (or swap) would be great to send to a girlfriend for whatever the occasion. At first I thought I needed to use something with pocketbooks or whatever... but I basically decided that anything would do. This card is made with the set "All the Best" from 2004. Colors are hard to tell - Mellow Moss for the leaves, Vintage Violet and Apricot Appeal for the flowers, and Basic Brown for the sentiment. Paper is Vintage Violet, with white and a tan that I thought looked nice, along with some colored brads. Hope you enjoy!

Ok, I have been cleaning...but still not done. Ugh!

A weekend which involved a trip to "ink-about-it" in westford, ma involved some serious shopping with my mom and gram. I have been trying to clean up my stamp area but no such luck yet. It still looks like this: Kids' area - actually pretty clean (with the desk that I garbage picked off of the street last week).

This area here is the majority of my stamp storage - still trying to get that stuff worked out but it's getting better.

This area is for paper and ribbon, envelopes, markers, etc. but it's just a mess...

This is the area I've been working on, obviously. Stamp pads are in wooden cd holders bought for $1 at the mill store, punches are on racks meant for screwdrivers that I installed upside-down and the weird shaped punches are on one of them right side up, I have some new stamps on display on the right, misc. tools and bins, and my background stamps where I can use them all the time.

This is where all the stuff I haven't sorted is waiting. It just seems like such a daunting task...

New Stamp Set - "Doodle This"

If I said I had a good time, it would be a complete understatement. Check out these 5 cards I made with my new stamp set at Robin's house!!! I can't even decide which one I like the best! When I hit the lottery, I'm just going to stamp all day long.

We started at about 8:00 (because, of course, I was late) and I was done at about quarter of ten.
I even did my envelopes as well. Lord knows I'll never send them, since they're too pretty to leave my house... :)

Thanks again, Robin!

Woohoo! Stamping tonight!

Hooray! Heading to my demo's house tonight to stamp with my mother and some other great stamping ladies! Can't wait to see what she has planned for us!

Did some stamping last night - for my swap group - my first one in probably a year... inspired by my Demo, Robin... Check out her blog which is amazing...

This is Cool Carribbean with some peachy color I had hanging around - add Cameo Coral to my list, please! You never know what you need until you need it!

Ink color is Cool Carribean, True Thyme and Basic Brown. I love my new ticket punch - I seem to be using it more and more these days! I also left the space for the sentiment blank. You never know what you might need the card for!

Have a great night!

Hooray! Made some cards tonight for the first time in months!

Wow! Having a messy stamping room is terrible!
I've been cleaning down there (and even now have a TV down there).

Here's what I made tonight -

Criss-Cross card for Erin and a multi-layered card for a birthday (Tommy has 3 parties this weekend!). Does this look ok for a little boy?

Maybe the TV will help me to get motivated. Anyway, maybe the room will stay clean if I can watch American Idol while I straighten up!
